Wow, this place has been pretty dead lately. ^^; But anyway, I just finished reading volumes 5-7 of the manga, and I had a question that I'm hoping someone in this comm can clear up for me.
Did Izumi perform human transmutation or not in the manga? It seems implied since she definitely saw the gate too, and she still has health problems (because the insides of her stomach are missing?) but I'm not sure... it's not stated as clearly as it is in the anime. All Sigu says is, "When she (Izumi) was pregnant with a child, she fell sick. Even though she tried her best, she couldn't give birth to it. After that time, her body couldn't have another child. She apologized for an entire night, even though she hadn't done anything wrong. She probably began to think about human transmutation from that time on. The result is that she became like that. I was stupid for not having realized it, though." (At least, I think that's what he said...
So, it seems she did perform human transmutation... But how could she perform human transmutation on her child if she couldn't even give birth to it? @_@ *confused* Or did I miss something that was said somewhere else?
